The Weiss Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Scientific Computing Institute at the University of Utah specializes in using multidisciplinary approaches to probe fundamental questions in the field of biomechanics. Individuals with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, software development and bioengineering will be integral to the proposed research. The laboratories are located within the Merrill Engineering Building at the University of Utah, and include 2,650 square feet of space. The space is divided between three wet labs (350 sq ft, 350 sq ft, 700 sq ft), a computing lab (500 sq ft) and five additional student/staff offices (750 sq ft).
